KAVA KAVA

I got dressed up and headed over to Hollywood to have my 1st Kava bar experience with one of my best friends.

Photobucket

I got these awesome rings over time. The cross and the one with the rinestones are from Forever 21 and the huge black stoned one is from a vintage store. I love covering my wrist and fingers. It feels odd when they are bare.

Photobucket

Photobucket

The necklace I am wearing it also from a thrift store by my school. I always find beautiful things there. My long shawl cardigan is from American Apparel. Under it I wore a little black spandex dress from there too. Its been a little cool outside so I wore over the knee black wedge leather boots from DSW.
My friend and I really enjoyed the feeling we got from the kava rather then the taste. We intend to go back very soon :-)

a south beach day

This evening I went out with a girlfriend from work and we ate sushi on south beach. It has been beautiful out in south Florida so it was a perfect idea.

Photobucket

My high waist pants are from American Apparel. My shoes are Steve Madden.

My cream knit tank top is also American Apparel and my twill blazer is from Urban Outfitters.

Today was such a beautiful day in South Florida. Unfortunately, I had class all day but every chance I got to escape, I went outside and enjoyed it. I completed some assignments on my lap top while drinking a soy latte outside of Starbuck's :-)

Photobucket

My dress is from American Apparel, the typical U back dress. I never wear it alone, always use it as a slip. Its so perfect to layer things with though. The floral vest I'm wearing is from Salvation Army. I think the colors are perfect for Fall- dark & soft.

PhotobucketPhotobucket

And of course I had to wear my steve madden high leather boots. The beginning of fall ya know? Had to make it feel real !

Photobucket

Hopefully it gets cooler out. I'm looking forward to wearing nice sweaters and pants. I've already pulled out all my panty hose, can't wait !

Taking my sweet, precious time

The past couple days have gone by in a minute. I was extremely occupied this weekend. Both Thursday and Friday I stayed out until 5am and oh do I love Miami and if New York doesn't work out next summer then maybe I won't mind resigning in Miami for some time. My friend and I actually been looking at apartments downtown. Hmmm but New York is where my heart is. Only time can tell.

Photobucket

Today I let my velvet vest embroidered with gold lay over my shoulders. I found it at a thrift store and I immediately adored it. I looked a little nude considering I was wearing a nude body suit underneath it.

Photobucket

Every time I wear this body suit I find a couple people do a double take. But then theres always that one obnoxious and belligerent friend that exclaims "OH MY GOSH I THOUGHT YOU WERE NAKED !" -__________- With high waist black short pull up and buttoned I went to class.

Photobucket

After only one coffee, one green tea lemonade and a full water bottle the day has come to a rest.
Well not really because I have a ton of things to do after class................ :-)

I was your silver lining, but now I'm gold.

This week I've come down with a weak cold and my body has been acting really funky. I've found myself fixated on my imperfections every morning. Attempting to make myself not look completely under the weather. Especially when the weather has been absolutely beautiful the last two days.

Along with the being sick, I've been feeling odd about other things that have been cluttered in my head. I've been day dreaming and night dreaming about the same human-being and to be honest, I'm just over it. I'm ready for these particular subconscious thoughts to come out and then completely dissolve.

Photobucket
Photobucket

My light sheer chiffon button ups have been my favorite lately. They're new at my job and I pretty much put it on top of everything. It feels so soft on my skin. I think it has an antique and classic look to it. I mean you don't see much chiffon anymore unless its on a fancy dress or the trim of an article of clothing. This color is called "bone". Its a very creamy light color and looks beautiful over black.

Photobucket

This day I wore my tiffany chiffon over a tube dress, which acts like a slip, with classic cream heels. The heels are thrift but the tube dress and tiffany chiffon are from my job, American Apparel.
I belted the over sized chiffon button up with a leather belt which had a bright gold buckle. My life, gold.
I dashed over to the bank like any over typical Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning at work. And after depositing the money I opened the store and my day of cleaning / organizing / assisting began.

Photobucket

Like always I wore all my vintage gold bracelets and big gold and cream earrings. This day was beautiful and even though I felt slightly drained and a little irregular, the sun was shining and the day was pleasant.

Trousers, Dress pants, Slacks, What?

I feel like nothing beats a nice pair of pleated pants. If its ether with a ruffled top or a plain white tank, it always looks nice and clean. Just like high waist shorts you can just pull them on over anything. Especially the linen pants. If you shop around you can find a good pair of comfortable yet "acceptable" high waist cropped linen pants.

Photobucket

I found these photos on lookbook and the first two are from out of the country. I found the one above absolutely adorable. Her trousers fit her perfectly. They ARE suppose to be a little loose. The ones I own are mostly this style.

Photobucket

This girls pants look a little thicker. The style of the pants are really cool. I like how high they go and how they have a belt loop. Something like this you can pull over a leotard which is really fast and easy. Pulling over a loose long sleeve top like she did and tucking it in is different. This outfit looks extremely comfortable and I love it.

Photobucket

I adore and appreciate this girls laid back trendy style so much. You really don't see much of it. She didn't even tuck her shirt in all the way. This is something I'd throw together real quick and be insecure about looking like a ridiculous slob but really I would look really social and approachable? Just a truly dainty outfit.

Photobucket

Theres also these which are unisex from American Apparel. Guys where them as dress pants. But on girls you can just pull them over a leotard or something and slip on flats and go. Perfect clean comfortable look. You have to try on a couple pairs and you will probably be a larger size then what you think since there high waist on girls and we have hips. They're a little tighter then the ones above but they're actually flattering, you may not think so because they're intended for a males body but TRY THEM.

I planned on taking pictures of myself in mine but I havent had time to snap some shots but I WILL. Until then experiment yourself, tell me what you think and give me some tips myself ~ :****

PETTIIII

For the past month or so I've seen petti-coats in random stores.
Where I work, American Apparel, sells beautiful ones.
Photobucket

I've seen cheaper ones at Forever 21 and H&M but the ones at American Apparel are really nice and they have many layers so you don't just have to wear them under skirts or dresses.
My mom was so shocked when I bought one. She said I had one when I was like two years old. HA. HA.
I would !

Photobucket

I have a black one and a white one but the black one is a little more casual. In this picture I tucked in a button up. Sometimes I wear bodysuits with it. Most petti-coats are longer but this one you can pull down to your lower hips so it flares out under something OR you can pull it up and wear it over something. It very precious :-)

its an iLlUsIoN . . .

NOT REALLY. But I was lurking lookbook, typical, and my eyes were distracted by "American Apparel", typical, and found this !

I enjoy seeing what people put today with "nude" and "cream" fabric.
This girl at my job told me I can't where nude or cream because I'm so pale and it would all just blend and I'd basically look naked.
But just look how interesting and cute this is.

Photobucket

Hm, I like.

Too bad Florida is steamy hot...

I wear lace all year round. Its too beautiful to pack away in your closet and for me, there is noway I can "forget" about it.
Although Florida is blazing hot so for now I stay in my lace tanks & lace tank leotards.

But I have a desire to wear my long sleeve lace. Even though my legs are exposed, I'll be for then tempted to cut off the sleeves because THATS how hot Florida is right now!

Photobucket
Photobucket

The light pink is my favorite. I just want to eat it!

Photobucket

How odd this may look (and how uncomfortable Gaga must feel) its beyond gorgeous and I wish I can pull something like this off, hmm maybe!

wait.... what? hellokitty & doc martins....

I'm honestly NOT surprised Doc Martin and HelloKitty partnered up considering there both extremely popular and together would blow minds.

Photobucket
I wish they would come out with more colors.. but they are cute!

As cute as they are, they won't be around too long. They're limited edition to celebrate HelloKitty's 50th anniversary!
Waaahwoooooooo!

Let me know what you think about these <3

"timeless and classic"

Beautiful words spoken by the only Alexander Wang.

Photobucket

His all-american sports wear inspired line was something I've never witnessed from Wang. I don't think theres any Abby High Heels in this collection ;P

Photobucket
Photobucket

He used red, white and blue, quote on quote; "all-american". The styles put together are edgy and sporty but theres classics.Leather shorts with lace and athletic socks with sandal boots; these structured beautiful pieces make it more than an all-american sporty line.

Photobucket

Cropped sweaters with leotards incorporated with mesh.

Photobucket
Photobucket

Dresses are said to resemble "delated footballs". Boxy leather shorts and cut-offs hung low with slung, cropped blouses. I'd say Spring2010RTW was a success. Compared to Wang;s last collection, people expected a little more I suppose but come'on! Everyone has high expectations for his lines, I do as well, how can you not but a sporty line is typically out of his element and he pulled it off. A sporty athletic inspired line isn't exactly easy for some designers to pull off!

I am sending my love. But they won't let it in.

After a 10 hour shift I think I might die in my bed. I feel my muscles turning off as I type. On top of that I was in a rush to get dressed but managed pretty well.

Photobucket

I dropped a ladder on my foot and fell face first into a box full of clothes. But I laughed on the floor for a good 15 minutes. If it wasn't for the girls I work with, I would just walk out of the store half of the time sigh*

Photobucket

Photobucket

The fringe and back of the dress make it. Its beautiful, really.

Photobucket

This dress is so perfect for a hot Florida day. Its basically backless and I usually wear it with a big belt but I just let it loose today. With opaque knee length socks -scrunched down- and steve madden heel boots, it was a decent last minute outfit for work; especially with all the tasks I had to do today!

came across some beauty's!

I have an everlasting love for antique jewelry! My friend from work, Bettina, took me to this little thrift store by Broward College and I just fell in love with the whole store. They don't get too much in but when they do its gorgeous. The lady that works the shop is just as precious as the jewelry. She will even take down your name and number and call you if they get in anything that you're looking for.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

One of the bracelets were $5, the gold chain with links that almost spiral. And the second charm bracelet was $10. Its my favorite. One of the charms is actually a tattoo I'm planning on getting. Its very antique and old yet so "lovely". In person you can tell its old but well taken care of jewelry. The little jewels are a deep pink and light blue. There are little pearls. The store also carries cute kitten heels but they only get nice ones every once in a while and they're very vintage so they usually price around 20 to 30 dollars but they are good heels. Not wimpy thrift shoes that last three months.
If any one in the south florida area wants to know more about the store like where its located and such, feel free to ask because they deserve all the business they can get (even though I want everything for myself) TEHE

El Ef ! ~ *

I know I know, I'm a bit late making a blog about one of LF's crazzzy 60 percent off deal! Who participated!?

For those who don't shop at LF or maybe never heard of it or just never ventured into the store, its a very trendy fashionista store. It defiantly defines the word "trendy" the way I feel it should be defined. Its nothing even similar to indie fashion or really not mod but a bit classy... They follow the designers latest trends from studs to fringe. They look over celebrities (such as Mary-Kate Olsen & Lily Allen) that wear certain brand names and whats "in" and they elaborate on it. Its really beautiful and interesting. LF is expensive but it is affordable in a sense because the store sells designer clothing and the best quality it can get. So with these 60 percent off deals, its really an amazing deal. TRUST ME. For those LF shoppers, YOU KNOW!

Photobucket

So any who,
I got the Jeffery Cambell shoes which are originally 200 and 60 percent off, 80. They are GORGEOUS. When you actually visualize them in person, they're perfffect. ;)

LF has a killer antique section of beaded and embroidered dresses that are to die for. I can spend forever looking at them. They are truly magnificent. I was thinking, if I WERE to go to prom, I'd wear one. Ugh, they're so pretty.
Check out the lookbook below. It's from fall 09 but you can really get the concept of the store and everything by checking it out!

Whose a fan of antique Jewelry?!

ME ME ME

PhotobucketPhotobucket

The girls from work and I know of this adorable little store that sells the cutest antique jewelry, shoes, belts, clothing, purses ect. Its so so so cute and the women working in there are so sweet! It just adds to the whole beautiful environment of the store. Its' kind of expensive for a thrift store. The bottom earrings were 4 dollars which were probably one of the cheapest pair. Most of them were about 7 to 10 dollars. They sold some jewelry thats very pricey along with other things. They have beautiful shoes but you have to go at the right time and grab'em! A girl I work with bought a beautiful pair of lace boots, cream, tie up. I'll take a picture of them and show you guys. More photos to come gooood night

P.S.
18 years of existence in 2 days, plus New York for 5 days. Can't wait!

WOAH.. WHAT!

Watch this and tell me exactly what you think about it! This was so beautiful, I don't think I blinked once while watching it. Chanel Spring 2010. I think more designers should do events like this in their shows. People would remember the clothing more and how could you not like the clothing? To me, Chanel never changes- and for once I mean that in a good way. It stays so classy and feminine yet every collection and show are different. I don't know how to explain it but I'm always pulled to watch the new collections because I know they will leave me shocked. Watch and comment!

(The first two dresses, oh my goodness, so marvelous. And pay attention to the shoes!)

so so so beautiful

So I went to my friends show last night in Miami and completely became inspired not only by the music, but by all the beautiful people I was surrounded by, along with their open personalities. It was beautiful and to be completely honest I havent felt connected to a group of strangers in a while.
I noticed all the girls wore black opaque or sheer pantyhose. Some with dresses, others with shorts. South Florida actually got a cold front last night hmph. I wore a high waist skirt, crop top and knee highs to keep my legs warms! Plus a simple black cardigan.
Although, one of my new favored recent styles is relaxed "unisex" pants on girls. Most girls aren't into because they don't think its flattering and blah blah blah, I've heard it, I've believed it but you can really make it look feminine.

One of my favorite designers, Chole', designed some in her spring 2010 RTW collection. Although there not unisex, they are relaxed pants for women.

Also Miu Miu spring 10' RTW

I love it... you can roll up the legs too, thats what I do sometimes. Here are the unisex ones from American Apparel..

Photobucket

Photobucket

With a beautiful blouse tucked in and heels.. or even a fitted sweater tucked in.. I love enjoy seeing more girls wearing pants like these! COMMENTS!
